Great... When I wanted to publish the last entry, I got an error indicating that a tag in my template was missing. This was a slight understatement... the whole template was gone and with it the customizations. I was lucky to have the blog still open in another window so I could save the source. But, to see the positive side of the story, I anyway didn't really like the old layout. (0) comments Still nothing about that famous new blogger and no posting without the webinterface :-( I'm presently in a RSS/XML frenzy. I figured out with NetNewsReader I can read news, blogs and even newsletters (e.g. TidBits). It's a really cool way to read stuff and I even unsubscribed already from several mailing-lists which I can now receive via RSS. I definitely like to stay informed but visiting several news websites a day is just too time-consuming, RSS is the solutions for that, I just browse the headlines and if I find something interesting I read the short intro and maybe click through to the story. RSS seams to be a way to stay on top of the information overload, I just wonder how long it will take until someone figures out how to push ads over that channel too. ...and it get's even worse! I just set up a new blog to see this new blogger and to try the app for posting... The new blog is on the new system already and the web-interface is much better and the app for posting works too!!! I WANNA MOVE ...NOW... PLEASE :-( (0) comments Life sucks... So, finally I came a cross an app that allows me to post without using the annoying web interface. But, of course, with my luck, exactly the day I want to try it out for the first time the blogger guys start moving blogs to a new system and for the blogs still on the old system the APIs don't work... :-( The post on the blogger status page says this will take a day or 2... today is the 4th day si I figured out since my blog was dormant for some time it might not be moved soon. Ok then, here is a post and let's hope that will speed things up. (0) comments |
