What's up for Paris? There has been a great deal of anticipation for what will be revealed at Apple's WWDC earlier this year. Many of us got what they wanted, a sneak peak at Panther and the announcement of the fabulous G5 and a whole wonderful new world with it. But at least as many of us were a bit disappointed by the lack of new 15' PowerBooks. Now there is new hope with the announcement of a Stevenote in Paris as an opening event for the Apple Expo. So, what can we expect to be presented with?
• New Powerbooks are sure strong candidates, supplies running low at the dealers, normal upgrade cycles being long overdue.
• Rumors have it that Panther might be ready for prime time already.
• iTMS for Europe would be a possibility, talks with the labels had been going on for months and by now they should be convinced of the business model with the iTMS being quite a success and hopefully be able to sort out the more complicated European licensing schemes.
• iMac updates are in the pipeline too.
• Rumored Apple-branded bluetooth keyboards and mice might make their debut in Paris as well. Well, 20 days and counting...
