Macintosh a dream machine for gamers? In his article for the Boston Globe, Hiawatha Bray praises the G5 as the dream machine for gamers, but also criticizes the lack of games and the lagging of the release dates behind the ones of the Windows versions due to the time needed to port the games. Thanks to new technology, Macintosh gets in on the action For many, playing games might be a secondary aspect of owning a Mac, but with a little bit of patience one gets almost all the good stuff thanks to the efforts of Aspyr, MacPlay and MacSoft, the main players in the game of porting for the Mac. For the interested, there are a bunch of good Mac gaming sites, such as Inside Mac Games, MacGamefiles.com and others. Multiplayer online games are served by GameRanger.
